Investigation of sensitivity of some potato varieties and hybrids against rust (Phytophthora infestans) was carried out under the condition of spontaneous infection in field, at Guca, Yugoslavia, (350 m height above sea level) in the period 1991-1993. On basis of calculated damage index (I), varieties Granat and Escort showed very high resistance against rust, while varieties Sarka, Fresco and Sante showed high resistance. Three hybrids created in Potato Center in Guca (Serbia, Yugoslavia) showed medium resistance, while a large number of varieties was very sensitive against this disease.
