The authors report the results of the research on the Campylobacter genus, by preputial sheath washing, fresh sperm and paillets, on 29 bulls in the Trento province. By preputial sheath washing 8 Campylobacter's strain (1 C. foetus subsp. foetus; 2 C. sputorum subsp. sputorum; 5 C. sputorum subsp. bubulus) have been isolated. The authors point out the necessity of the most careful preventive and periodic diagnostic controls on the bulls.
