The nitrogen uptake of Ceylon spinach as affected by N fertilization was studied using five levels of nitrogen per hectare. Fresh weight of leaves, fresh weight of stem, dry weight of leaves, dry weight of stem, total dry matter yield, and percent N in leaves were significantly increased with the application of urea fertilizer. The best level used was 90 kg/ha.
