This study is the application of remote sensing in a morphological survey of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, Chiangmai in order to clsassify the morphological characteristics of the area. From this study, the morphological characteristics of the area is classified into 4 types-drainage, ridge and peak, lineament, and alluvial flat. Slope of the area is classified into 4 classes: (1) 0-12% slope covering the area of 18.72 km2., 11% of the total area. This area is found in alluvial flat and foothills. (2) 12-35% slope covering the area of 104.40 km2, 61% of the total area. This the largest area found throughout the park. (3) 35-50% slope covering 44.44 km2, 26% of the total area. This area is in the central part of the park. (4) 50-85% slope covering 3.80 km2, 2% of the total area. This area is found on peaks. Areas of over 85% slope are unclassifiable. In order to verify the findings of slope classification, field survey has been conducted in a number of spots in the area and it is proved that 82% of the findings in checked spots are correct. This showed the high efficiency of the circle interception method in slope analysis. This technique has also been proved to be convenient and economical.
