In many research projects the surface horizon is analized to 12 or 15 cm. but it is necessary to know NO3- distribution in the A1, that in Rafaela series has 25 cm. depth. Another point of interest is to quantify its evolution and the influence of soil physical condition on NO3- content. In this study NO3- evolution was evaluated at different depth of A1 horizon, with some induced physical conditions (loose, compacted and/or with crust) during three years. Results show NO3- greater variations on the top centimetres, content increase during spring due to higher temperatures and more accumulation in artificially densified conditions.
