El crecimiento del crisantemo para corte en cultivos comerciales de Villa Elisa (Provincia de Buenos Aires) [Argentina].
1986
Di Benedetto A.H.
The growth of cut Chrysantemum morifolium R. in Argentina is strongly influenced by temperature. The effects of a decrease in temperature are more pronounciated during the first three weeks of short days, although a minor response is verified during the most of the growth cycle. The first stage of development determines the time of cutting. The latest date of planting have determined a decrease in the rate of leaf initiation and flower size of cut mums. These lots of plants showed a critical leaf area index (LAI) of about 0,4, while the critic LAI cited by Acock et al (1979) and Kohl and Thigpen (1979) takes a value between 2,7 to 3,0.
