Comparative studies on embryonic development of Hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata bissa Ruppell) which is mostly found on the eastern and western coast of Thailand had been carried out in experimental and natural environment in nest. First study three foam boxes containing sand granule with 84 turtle eggs to be hatched, and secondary, 80 turtle eggs were hatched in four nests on Kham beach of Kram Island, Sattahip Naval Base of Cholburi District. The eggs in nest on beach were exposed to natural temperature and humidity while turtle eggs in foam boxes were springled with water when sand granules were dried up. Duration of study took three months (Jan'86 - March'86), hatching period in nest took about 51-53 days with 82-87 % success rate while in foam boxes took about 58-60 days with 83-96 % success rate respectively.
