Adults of fruit piercing moths caused fruit rot and fruit drop. There were many species such as Othreis fullonia Clerks, Rhytia hypermnestra Crammer Eudocima salaminia Fabricius which have some external morphological similarities. Three species of the insects were captured from some areas of Chiang Mai and Lampoon. Larvae were fed with ten different species of host plants separately. Similarities were found in the egg and pupal stage of the three species, the first two instar were most similar while the later instars were different in colour spots and postural behaviour. Adults of the three species were different in colour and pattern of the front wings.
