Performance of Bougainvillea spectabilis cv. White cuttings were studied in different soil media. Seven different soil media used were sand+sawdust (1:1), clay, slit+sawdust (1:1), sand + silt + sawdust (1:1:1). The data recorded, revealed that soil media had no significant effect on all the parameters studied. However, maximum bud sprouting (93%), plant thickness (0.2cm) number of leaves per plant (34) number of branches per plant (3.3) number of roots per plant (7.8), root length (16.0cm) and root weight (0.66gm) were recorded for the plants growing on silt+sawdust, while, minimum plant survival (7%), plant height (1.7cm), plant thickness (0.1 cm), number of leaves per plant (1.3), root length (1.7 cm) and root weight (0.04gm) were recorded for the plants growing on sand+silt+clay. Plant survival (17%) was maximum in sand+silt+sawdust while bud sprouting (40%) was minimum in clay.
