Efecto de la irrigacion sobre caracteres agronomicos del pimiento morron con acolchado plastico.

Two treatments: mulching and bare soil were factorially combined with four irrigation treatments: frecuent irrigation (every 7 days), medium irrigation (every 9 days), retarded irrigation (every 11 days) and by the evaporimeter type A FAO method (Doorenbos and Pruit, 1976). Mulched treatments were irrigated at the soil moisture content of its correspondent control. Mulching presented a significant effect on: plant covering, commercial and total yield. Irrigation treatments presented a significant effect on commercial and total yield. The treatments IF and IEvC with plastic mulching reduced the number of irrigations. The study suggest to decrease crop's coefficient by 14.3 (0.4 vs 0.35), 10.3 (0.75 vs 0.68) and 11.1% (1.10 vs 0.99) for the three stages of growth; for the last stage it is sugested to be increased by 12.6 % (0.95 vs 1.07) due to the mulching effect.

Los tratamientos acolchado y no acolchado fueron combinados factorialmente con 4 frecuencias preestablecidas de riego: cada 7 (IF), 9 (IM) y 11 (IR) dias y mediante la metodologia del tanque evaporometro de clase "A" (IEvC) en los tratamientos testigos. Los acolchados se regaron cuando alcanzaron el mismo contenido de humedad que su correspondiente testigo. El acolchado presento diferencias significativas con relacion al testigo en las variables: cobertura, rendimiento comercial y total. Los criterios de riego tuvieron un comportamiento significativamente diferente en rendimiento comercial y total. Los tratamientos con frecuencia de 7 dias y testigo registraron un ahorro de uno y 3 riegos por efecto del acolchado. Los resultados del estudio sugieren disminuir los coeficientes de cultivo en 14.3 (0.4 vs 0.35), 10.3 (0.75 vs 0.68) y 11.1(%) (1.10 vs 0.99) en las primeras 3 etapas del cultivo; en cambio, en la ultima debera aumentarse en 12.6% (0.95 vs 1.07) por efecto de acolchado.
