Studies were carried out under natural infestation of European corn borer. Three hybrids were used as the experimental material: ZPTC 194 (FAO 100), ZPSC 449 (FAO 400) and ZPSC 704 (FAO 700). Maize plants were dissected after harvest and European corn borer larvae were maintained in glass flasks under natural conditions until the development of parasites was completed. The percentage of Lydella thompsoni within overwintering European corn borer larvae ranged from 1.46 to 15.05 under agroecological conditions of Zemun Polje (Yugoslavia). The percentage of parasitism increased with the increased length of maize hybrids growing season and it amounted to 3.09, 8.06 and 12.09 in the hybrids ZPTC 194, ZPSC 449 and ZPSC 704, respectively. Only one adult of Lydella thompsoni was developed out of one parasitized European corn borer larvae.
