The feeding of foals up to three years old with maize instead of oats and barley to the extent of 25-50% does not affect their body development. In the structure of concentrates, oats and barley can be substituted with maize to the scale of 50-100% mixed with a portion of bran or wheat husks. The foals should be fed with a ration containing maize and bran to the extent of 25-50%.
