Fruit set and number of harvested fruits in certain pollination combinations with wild apple species were investigated with free pollination as a control. Fruit setting was recorded three times: 19 days after pollination, after June drop and before harvest. The most of wild apple species used as pollinator were very good in germination of pollens. The best germination was in Malus toringo Rehder. The highest number of picked fruits was recorded in controlled pollination with species Malus floribunda Van Houtte, Malus baskatong and Malus robusta Rehd. The flowering time of species Malus floribunda Van Houtte was not compatible with Golden Delicious clone B.
