It was found that the number and activity of microorganisms were related more to complex of agricultural usefulness than to the dose of mineral nitrogen. A positive correlation between the activity of urease, acid phosphatse and microbial index of soil fertility and average plant yield obtained on soils of different complexes was confirmed. No relation between plant yielding and the number of microorganisms and the enzymatic soil activity affected by nitrogen fertilization was observed.
