Wood particle boards bonded with waste thermoplastics

The results obtained throughout the studies allow to conclude that both industrial core-layer and face-layer grade particles as well as waste particles from wood machining may be convenient raw materials for particle-plastic boards bonded with waste thermo-plastics-polyethylene, polypropylene or polystyrene. Fractional and dimensional compositions, as well as bulk density of the mechanically ground raw materials used in the experiments were compared. Thermoplastic were additionally characterized by glass transition and flow temperatures
