Oral pathology in horses is usually triggered by a combination of constant teeth eruption, often usage of oral apparatus and tooth substance ware, while mastication process occurs. Natural food supply, for wild horses causes mostly unequal teeth abrasion. For domesticated horses, food was well balanced and controlled, which allowed prolonging lives of horses, but whereas unequal teeth abrasion. As a result, there were pathological changes in hard and soft oral tissues. Incisor abnormalities: smile, slant, tall, irregular and frown. Buccal teeth abnormalities: hooks and ramps on upper and lower sixes, wave teeth and excessive transverse ridging. The most common soft tissue pathologies that could occur were periodontal pocketing and calculus aggregation. To assess a situation, diagnosis is an essential tool and starts with an interview with a horse owner, following by inspection, palpation, percussion and radiography. Basic manual instruments were a speculum, dental probe and a mirror, rasps, syringe and a forceps. Therapy is based on rasping teeth, extraction of shedding deciduous caps, wolf teeth and chronically, periodontal disease of permanent teeth, calculus removing, cleaning of periodontal pockets, shaping a bit sit on upper and lower sixes, reshaping front line.
