Hunting ground Srebrnica is located in Central Šumadija (Serbia) and it covers 13700 acres, precisely total area of Municipality Stragari of city Kragujevac. Thanks to good geographical position, excelent geomorphological, climatic, hydrological and pedological characteristics, this hunting ground has good conditions for breeding of many game species, but especially for breeding of roe deer. Population of roe deer which is situated in hunting ground Srebrnica, has developed after reintroduction of small number of roe deer from hunting grounds in Slovenia, in the middle of the 20th century. Since 1957, number of roe deer is growing permanently and today it is larger then 700 units. However, fast growing of number of roe deer has negative influences on qulity of his population. Because of inapropriate conducted breeding measures, primarily incorectly planed hunting activities, in hunting ground Srebrnica, trophy, gender and age structure of population of roe deer has negative trends. Not shooting at female and young roe deers and avoiding correctly hunting male roe deers are cause for large number of young and very old animals, sex ratio of 1:2 to 1:5 for females and fact that trophies of roe deer better than 69.99 CIC points are rare. If you want development of hunting tourism, and making good image of hunting ground, must to improve this parameters.
