This paper presents a brief overview of the methods of reproductive management in dairy goat herds. Application of reproductive and breeding programs and genetic improvement of livestock is the basis of highly productive dairy goat industry. In this paper, the methods of managing the herd reproduction which, through mating, artificial insemination and embryo production and transfer, allow rapid diffusion of desirable genetic traits in a selection system. All of the above techniques require prior induction and synchronization of estrus by hormonal or non-hormonal methods and protocols.
