Seed oil and protein content was analyzed in 17 ne sunflower hybrid combinations developed in Oil Crops Department of Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad (Serbia). According to analysis of variance there were no statistically significant differences in seed oil and protein content of tested combinations. The highest average oil content was achieved by hybrid combination RM-17 (53.80%), while the least was in combination RM-11 (50.06%). the protein content ranged from 14.31% in the hybrid combination RM-17 to 17.36% in hybrid combination RM-7. The results showed that the selected sunflower hybrid combinations are characterized by high values of oil content and satisfactory protein content, in seed.
