The Importance of the Nature Reserve Žitavský Luh and Alúvium Žitavy on the part of epigeic groups biodiversity | Význam prírodných rezervácií Žitavský luh a Alúvium Žitavy z hľadiska biodiverzity epigeických skupín

The aim of our research was to detect and consequently compare biodiversity of basic epigeic groups in the nature reserve Žitavský luh and in the nature reserve Alúvium Žitavy. It both localities the results from three-year period were compared. The research it the nature reserve Žitavsky luh and Alúvium Žitavy was realized during the years 2003-2005 and years 2006-2008, respectively. The sampling of biological materials was perfomed by terrestrial trap method, having high profile in the selected localities. In 6 sampling places in the nature reserve Žitavský luh, 57 182 ex epigeic animal components were obtained, representing 30 taxonomic groups. 9 315 ex epigeic animal components representing 27 taxonomic groups were obtained within the scope of 4 sampling places in the nature reserve Aluvium Zitavy. Dominant abundance of species Formicoidea, Coleoptera, Araneida, Collembola, Acarina was registered there. The others species, e.g. Diplopoda, Isopoda, Diptera, showed lower level of recedent or subrecedent occurrence. Nevertheless, these species also contributed to the specific biodiversity of both biotopes. The values of species identity index by Jaccard ranged from 57.14 to 88.46% in the nature reserve Žitavský luh. The values of dominant identity index by Rennkonen ranged from 54.01 to 85.24%. The average value of diversity by Shannon-Weaver was 1.60332. The values of species identity index by Jaccard ranged from 72.00 to 87.50 per cent in the nature reserve Alúvium Zitavy. The values of dominant identity index by Rennkonen ranged from 66.51 to 82.50%. The average value of diversity by Shannon-Weaver was 2.10171. The obtained and calculated results confirmed suitability and sustainability of specific environment biotopes.
