The characteristic of basic arable lands was implemented by the help of results from the viewpoint of soils pH, forms of soil phosphorus (available, mobile and labile) in interaction with yields of cereals and sugar beets. The basic arable lands was studying at discreption into production regions and soil types. On the basis of regression analyses positive relationship was found between pH soils and content of forms of soil phosphorus on the different soil types and different production regions. The highest yields of cereals (sugar beet) was obtained atpH of soil 6,5-7.0 and at content of labile phosphorus from 27 mg per kg (30 mg per kg). The equations for calculation of minimum content of phosphorus forms for planned yields are stated in the article. The new indicator "index of releasable phosphorus (IUP)", Pav/Plab is stated and his optimal agronomic value is 2.55-2.60.
