The thesis presents, based on theoretical analyses and experimental measurements, a suitability of current terrestric methods for determination of geodetic points in forested areas focusing on polygonometry. Traverses are the most convenient method for determination of geodetic points in rough and enclosed territory since adjusting of the traverse shape to the given territory is possible. However, there is a problem with keeping the geometric parameters given according to the instruction (1994). The accuracy analyses presented in the thesis showed that this could also be reached by not-keeping some parameters. This is caused by currently used electronic tachymeters, which provide a high accuracy of measured angles and lengths.
