اظهر المزيد [+] اقل [-]The Tri-State Comprehensive Water Management Study is a joint effort by Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and the U.S. Army Engineer District, Mobile. The objective is to assess effects of current and proposed water-management strategies on various uses of the Alabama-Coosa-Tallapoosa (ACT) and Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint (ACF) river basins. Our part of the study was to derive regression models for evaluating effects of water-resource alternatives on fish reproductive success, as indexed by catches of young fish in a variety of gears, in ACT/ACF impoundments. Our approach was similar to an analysis of fish-population responses in Missouri River reservoirs (Ploskey et al. 1993). It involves using correlation and multiple-regression techniques and requires adequate historical hydrologic and fishery data.
