DEVELOPMENT OF SOUND ANALYSIS EQUIPMENT FOR SONAR RESEARCH. PART III
1961
BAXTER, LINCOLN | CHI, VERNON
An eight-channel analog computer was developed for hydroacoustic and geophysical oceanographic studies. This computer drive Sanborn pens to produce a deflection proportional to the total energy received at an input after any desired instant. Alternatively, a deflection proportional to either amplitude, rectified amplitude, or power, averaged over a selected time interval or proportional to certain functions useful for studies of the correlation of signals at two inputs may be produced. These latter functions are the product of the amplitudes at the inputs and the sum of the squares of these amplitudes.
