In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented results of studying the structure and nature of the relationship of seed production features of 20 varieties of oil flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) based on correlation and track testing. In course of the study there was analysed correlation between productivity elements of oil flax varieties of different ecological and geographical origin, evaluated the direct and indirect influence of productivity elements of seed yielding capacity. There were determined traits of yielding capacity markers which could be used in breeding work for increasing the potential of crop productivity. The following variety samples of oil flax were used in the study: Ruchhek; Lirina; Renew; Spartak; Namaless (KF-1404); 3857; SU-6-15; AL-340; Querandi M.A.G.; TsSO-NAI; Namaless (K-1404); Culbert; Glenelg; NDR-174; K-6339; La Platta; Rio; Minn 187; Dakota; Maroccan sel. Significant correlations between yield and number of pods (r = 0,505), seeds (r = 0,543) per plant, weight of seeds per plant (r = 0,396) and thousand-seed weight (r = -0,483) were established. Direct and indirect effects of crop productivity elements on seed yield were defined. Characters (the number of pods/plant, seed weight/plant) as markers for the selection of genotypes of oil flax for yield were isolated.
