The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of four different irrigation levels (I1, I2, I3 and I4) and four nitrogen rates (0, 50, 100 and 150 kg N per ha) on yield, quality and water use efficiency of garlic population of Hamedan using a line source sprinkler irrigation during 2004 and 2006 season in Ekbatan agriculture station of Hamedan. The average water amounts applied to I1, I2, I3 and I4 for two years were 1382, 2258, 3319 and 4092 M3 per hectare respectively. The results showed that, the nitrogen rates significantly (P=0.05) affected nitrogen content of garlic tuber. Nitrogen content of tuber increased with increasing nitrogen consumption and ranged from 1.42 percent for none nitrogen application per ha to 1.63 percent for 150kg per ha N using. The effects of nitrogen rates were not significant on other measured factors. Increasing in applied water increased garlic yield and mean weight of cloves significantly and ranged from 3797 kg/ha and 3.12 g/clove for I1 to 7163 kg/ha and 4.17 g/clove for I3 treatment respectively. Increasing in applied water decreased number of tuber cover and WUE and ranged from 4.56 cover per tuber and 2.04 kg/M3 for I4 to 5.12 cover per tuber and 2.51 kg/M3 for I1 treatment respectively. Interaction of N and irrigation water didn't affected measured factors.
