Evaluation of different levels of potassium and zinc on yield, yield components and protein rate of Cranberry bean( Phaseolus vulgaris L.)

Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is one of the most important agronomic crop in Iran. Potassium and Zinc are two essential elements for crops such as Bean. In order to study the effects of different levels of Potassium and Zinc on yield, yield components and protein content of Cranberry bean( Phaseolus vulgaris L.), a factorial experiment was carried out in a randomized complete block design with twenty treatments, three replication for two years in Khanmirza region, Bean cultivation, in Lordegan region. Treatments consisted of five rates of Potassium (k1=0, k2=112.5 , k3=150, k4=187.5 and k5=225 kg.ha-1 K2S04) and four rates of zinc(Zn1=0, Zn2=37.5 , Zn3=50, Zn4=62.5 kg.ha-1 Znso4 2H2o). Results of combined analysis of variance on parameters showed that potassium consumption was significant on yield, 100 seed weight (a= 1%) and seed in pod (a= 5%) but was not significant on pod in plant and seed protein rate. The maximum yield, yield components and protein rate were obtained from K4. Zinc consumption was significant on yield, 100 seed weight and seed in pod (a= 1%) but was not significant on pod in plant and seed protein rate.The maximum parameters were obtained from Zn4. The interaction effect of zinc and potassium was not significantly affected on seed (a= 1%). The maximum parameters were obtained from K4Zn4. There exist increasing pattern of measurement with increasing potassium from K1 to K4 This relation exist in consumption Zinc from Zn1 to Zn4 in different treatments of Potassium also.With consumption Potassium and Zinc, Zn and K concentration on Leaf and seed, rate of Zn and K translocated to seed increased. Considering the results of this experiment the K4Zn4 for this variety of bean should be recommended for Lordegan region and regions with same condition in soil and climate.
