In a breeding program selection of parents plays an important role in the success of the program. In this study 190 bread wheat Jines and varieties were evaluated in crossing blocks to be used in crossing programs for creation of genetic variability and population for desirable traits. The objective traits were high and stable yield, resistance and tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses, resistance to grain shattering and lodging, etc .. Based on the objectives, 252 crossing program were carried out Also, 203 F1 generation were evaluated to make complementary crosses on them such as back crosses, top crosses and double crosses that finally 99 of them were selected for evaluation in F2 populations in 2004/05 cropping season.
