This paper presents new data regarding the amino acid content in the soil. It was established that the summary content of free and linked amino acids makes up 1,3750 and 4,100 mkM/100 mg of soil. The spectrum of biomolecules consists of 18 amino acids dominated by aspartic acid (11,60 _ 31,82), glutamic acid (10,73 _ 23,45%), alanine (7,10 _ 13,83%), leucine (3,44 - 15, 91%) and glycine (6.54 to 14.83%). Among the permanently presented amino acids, only the tryptophan was not identified in the studied soil. Also, a high correlation between the amino acid content and the content of organic substances in the soil was remarked.
