High performance of goat milk yield ensures the genetic potential of breeding, which has been achieved by means of purposeful animal selection, selection and assessment, as well as improving of goat nutrition. Our objective was to compare the milk quality indices of different breed goats, kept in the farm „Livi” goat herd. During the trial the highest milk protein content was reached by German White Noble goats (3.05%), but the highest milk yield was reached by Alpine goats – on average 2.24 kg per day. The highest content of circulating immune complexes (CIC) were found in the milk of Alpine goat group and the lowest somatic cell were in German White noble goat milk. According to the goat milk quantity, chemical composition, cytologic, immunologic parameters, as well as economic benefit, goat breeds could be ranked as follows: the Alpine – Latvian Local – Thuringia – German White Noble.
