In the last few years buckwheat occupies significant area of hilly and mountainous regions of Serbian. The interest of farmers for the grown crop increases. Unfortunately there are no official statistics on the areas where it is grown buckwheat, or what are the average yields. Buckwheat is used in the nutrition of man, honey and medicinal plant species and soil management has great significance. In the two year period, we set up experiments in Romanija. Our investigation included four varieties and three fertilizations. The aim of our study is to determine which variety gives the best offerings in our environmental conditions. This research should be continued in order to provide the best possible advice to farmers.
