The effect of foliar fertilizers on root yield, sugar content and refined sugar yield was tested. During three years (2003-2005) the effect of seven fertizers with different content of N, P, K, Mg , microelements (Fe, Mo, Mn, Zn) and control treatment were compared in the field conditions. The yield and quality of sugar beet were positively influenced by foliar application of fertilizers. Average yield of roots (53.83 t per ha) was achieved after treatment. The increase of root yield represented 1.7 t per ha in comparison to untreated control. The highest root yield (57.2 t per ha) was found in the tratment NPK+ME+B. Average sugar content (14.76 deg S) was determined after treatment. The highest sugar content (15.03 deg S) was found in the tratment NP VIT. On the average of monitored years and foliar fertilizers the yield of refined sugar content of 6.6 t per ha was achieved. The highest yield of refined sugar was found in the tratments NPK+ME+B (6.90 t per ha) and NP VIT (6.89 t per ha), respectively.
