The aim of our research in the years 2004 to 2008 was the restoration of pasture with monocenosis of Urtica dioica in the attractive tourist area of National Park Veľká Fatra (Pod Ploskou, 1240 m a.s.l.) in four variants. The results show the largest decrease in soil nutrients content was on the variant with euthrophicated soil (excrements of heifers) after reseeding of 18 autochthonous species of plants treated by two mowings per vegetation period. The high potassium content (5.60-times higher than the optimal content) in the depth 0-200 mm decreased from 0.92 to 0.29 g per kg C:N ratio was adjusted from 11.88 to 9.34. Lower values of nutrient content were recorded in the variant without reseeding treated by two mowing per vegetation period. The high content of nutrients in the soil was also reflected in their content in the aboveground phytomass. Over the years, decline of nutrients in soil caused gradual modification of their ratios. We did not found statistically significant differences in the evaluated samples.
