The study area is located in the eastern part of the Syrian desert between the provinces of Deir al-Zour and Homs. Stretching from Kabbajeb to Heer Palace to the right of the Deir al-Zour - Damascus road with an area of 1485 km2. Samples were taken every 4 km of the study area and due to the homogeneity of topography, terrain, vegetation and soil cover was selected 48 surface samples and three main soil profiles for chemical analysis laboratory. This study aimed to systematically evaluate linear predictive models between soil properties (OM, calcium Carbonate, Gypsum available phosphorus and potassium dissolved contents, and soil textures) and satellite images Landsat ETM7 and field measurements of surface soil samples. A spectroradiometer (FeildSpecPro®) with a range of 350-2500 nanometers was used in Laboratory to record spectral reflectance of soil samples. The greater the amount of of calcium carbonate and gypsum in soil increased the spectral reflectance, on the contrary, of the organic matter and phosphorus available and potassium dissolved contents that decreases the spectral reflectance increased. The Soil with fine textures (clay soil) have higher reflectivity of coarse textures. Based on the relationship between the soil properties and satellite images, the Search ended up designing three mathematical models for each of Organic matter, Calcium carbonate, and Gypsum Estimation of soil content of organic matter using NDVI index derived Estimation of soil content of Calcium carbonate using the first band TM of Landsat Estimation of soil content of Gyps using the first band TM of Landsat
