Content, composition and morphology of soil organic matter are important diagnostic indicators which provide valuable information in the study of soils and soil processes. Data for content and composition of organic matter from statistical profiles of subtypes of Chernozem are presented in the study. Micromorphological characteristics of studied soils are developed. Micromorphological indicators confirm the identified chemically - humus type and degree of condensation of humic acids.
