In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in 2010-2011 there was analysed biological and economic efficiency of application of herbicides of mechanism of action in sowings of maize (Zea mays) in Grodno region of Belarus. In course of the study there was analysed the efficiency of herbicide such as Elumis, Adengo, Prim extra gold, Milagro extra. During the study there was analysed influence of herbicides on number and weight of weeds, productivity of grain and vegetative weight of the crop. On the basis of the conducted field experiment it was possible to conclude, that the following herbicides proved to efficient in the following doses: Elumis – 1.25 liter /hectare and Elumis – 1.5 liter/hectare in case of their application in maize crops in a phase of 2-3 leaves and 4-5 leaves, Adengo – 0.3 liter/hectare and Adengo – 0.4 liter/hectare which was applied before the corn shoots and in a phase 1-2 leaves, Milagro extra – 0.75 liter/hectare against annual and perennial weeds, Prim extra gold TZ – 3.0 liter/hectare and Prim extra gold TZ – 4.0 liter/hectare applied up to shoots and on shoots of culture. They made it possible to lower crop weediness 74.8-94.3%, weight of weeds on 83.9-96.8 %, to keep 77-104 centner/hectare of grain and 340.8 – 467.2 centner/hectares of green mass in comparison with the control without weeding.
