Quality of humic substances after amendment of mineral fertilizer and organic manure (cattle slurry and compost) was evaluated using non-degradation UVA-VIS spectroscopy Color index was calculated as a ratio of absorbance A465 and A665 nm. Further we followed total carbon content (Cox), humic substances sum (H5), humic acids content (HA) and fulvic acids content (FA) using short fractionation method. The application of mineral and organic fertilizers changed absorbance of humic substances in the visible spectium which is shown by changing color index values. The most signiticant changes in the amount and quality of organic matter occurred after compost application. The amount of soil organic carbon and humus decreased in the order of compost, slurry, mineral fertilizer. The application of mineral fertilizer had no statistically significant effects on the quality and quantity of soil organic matter. The experimental observation of the influence of organic manure (slurry, compost) and mineral fertilizer on soil physical properties and sai organic matter parameters shows that organic fertilizers are the most appropriate types in our conditions.
