Influence of preparations containing bioactive substances on sugar beet quantity and production quality

Field test with sugar beet was carried out between 2009 and 2010 using block method with random arrangement of tested elements at EXBA SPU in Nitra - Dolna Malanta. Two preparations containing bioactive substances were monitored in the test: bitumen, uronic acids (Biafit Gold) and 5-aminolevulinic acid (Pentakeepa-V) with regard to the resulting production and its quality. The results proved positive influence of the preparations especially on the quantitative parameters of the production. When comparing the two preparations, Pentakeep-V was found to have more significant positive effect on the tuber yield, sugar content, polarized and white sugar yield. Apllication of Biafit Gold caused decrease in sugar content.
