The 90% ethanol balk precipitated enzymes cocktail fraction containing active cellulases, pectinases and hemicellulases produced by the fungus Aspergillus niger 10 was studied using Jatropha cake as a substrate. The thermal and pH stability of this enzymes cocktail fraction were studied showing that they operate optimally at temperature 40 -45°C and pH 5 -5.5 using 0.2M acetate buffer. Cobalt chloride and magnesium sulphate were found to have enhancing effect on enzymes activity while EDT A, ferrous and cupper ions appeared to have inhibitory effect on the three enzymes.
