A study of performance effectiveness of non governmental organizations concerning their developmental roles in some villages at Dakahlia Governorate

The current study aimed at: 1- Identifying some activities and services that achieved by non- governmental organizations in rural development programs. 2- Identifying the benefit degree of respondents from these services and activities. 3- Identifying the satisfaction degree of respondents about the services delivered by non governmental organizations. To achieve the previous objectives, the current study was carried out in some villages at Dakahlia governorate (EL-Bidah, Abou Dawood, EL-Meihy, Tokh ELAqlam, EL-Hagaizah and EL-Hasinah). A random sample of targeted beneficiaries from non governmental organizations (Community development associations and Party Units) was selected. The sample was consisted of 344 respondents representing 2% the total families in the studied villages. A personal interview questionnaire was used to collect the data from respondents. Frequencies, percentages and Chi-Square test (x. ) were used to analyze data statistically. The study has reached a number of important results which can be summarized as follows: 1-The findings revealed that the availability percentage of community development associations services in the studied villages in a scores category was 48.8%, on the other hand the availability percentage of party units services in the studied villages in a high scores category was 12.5% 2- The results indicated that 55.8% of the total sample on the studied villages level was benefited from the services of community development associations in a moderate degree, while the percentage of benefited sample individuals from the services of party units was found to be in a moderate degree was 23.1 %. 3- Finally, the findings revealed that 63.1 % of the total sample on the level of the studied villages was moderately satisfied concerning the services presented by community development associations, on the other side the percentage of moderately satisfied sample individuals regarding the services delivered by the party units was 22.1 % of the total sample.
