Pomegranate Fruit Moth (PFM), Ectomyelois ceratoniae (Lep.: Pyralidae), is the most important of pomegranate in Iran and other pomegranate producing countries. Adults of E. ceratoniae appeared in late April, and its flights continued until mid November. This pest populations showed four light peaks during the growth season. So in the pomegranate orchards, in addition to pomegranate fruit moth, quince moth and Notocelia punicana Kuznetzov are as one of the important fruit pests. The results showed that, the use of lighth and synthetic pheromone of PFM trap for monitoring and studing of pest population dynamic was without efficiency. Regarding to the problem for efficiency of PFM sex pheromone, its suggested to use the natural sex pheromone of PFM (with live females of this moth) for monitoring purposes.
