In order to optimization of weed management in corn fields, 6 project were carried out in 28 location of Alborz, Tehran, Ardabil, Fars, Kerman, Hamadan, , Khorasan Razavi, Azerbaijan-e-Sharghi and Khozestan. The title of projects were: 1)Investigating possibility of tank mixture of Ultima (Nicosulfuron+Rimsulfuron) + Bromicide MA (Bromoxynil+MCPA) for weed control in corn. 2) Investigating possibility of tank mixture of Kroz ( Nicosulfuron) + Bromicide MA( Bromoxynil+MCPA) for weed control in corn. 3) Complementary efficacy evaluation of Lomax (Mesotrion+ S-metolacholor+ Terbuthlazine) in control of weeds in corn. 4) Estimation of yield loss due to weeds in corn fields. 5) Chemical control of weeds in the commercial inbred lines of corn. 6) Study of density and cultivar role on weed suppression in single- vs. twine-row corn. In general, the result of mentioned projects produced some nformation and many management recommendation as follow: 1) Tank mix of Bromicide MA (0.5-1.0 lit/ha)+ Ultima(125-150 gr/ha) and also Bromicide MA (0.5 lit/ha)+ Kroz (1.5 lit/ha) recommended for control of corn weeds. 2) Lumax (4.5 L/ha as post emergence) could control the all weed flora of corn fields, except Glycyrrhiza glabra L. and Sorghum halepense (L.) and registered as a new mode of action for control of corn weeds. 3) Tank mix of Bromicide MA (1.0 lit/ha)+ Kroz(1.0 lit/ha) and also Lomax (2.5 lit/ha) recommended for weeds control of commercial inbred lines of corn. 4) Average yield loss due to weeds in corn fields of Iran, 15% was estimated.5) and corn competitiveness could be increase using dense population (15% more than recommended density) and twine- row planting system.
