Study of effect of different Irrigation cycle on quantitative and qualitative yields of pearl millet cv.Nutrifeed
1985
Mehrani, Ardalan
This experiment was conducted to study fresh, dry and grain yiled and protein content of pearl milletcv.Nutrifeed at four irrigation cycle by using RCB design with three replication in Karaj region. Data were recorded on traits such as tiller no. plant-1, stem diameter, days to flowering, panicle length, 1000 seed weight, lodging tolerance and plant hight. The grain, fresh forage yield and Dry forage yield of each variety was also determined by harvesting one m2 area of a center rows in each plot, and the wights were then adjusted to 14% of moisture.Result indicated that there were significant difference for all traits among varieties at 0.01 probability level. Mean comparisons showed that var. 11 with the fresh forage yield of 26.1 t/h and dry forage yield of 5 t/h and toleranc lodging and var. 17 with the grain yield of 3.1 t/h and var. 1 with 1000- seed weight of 5.2 and var. 7 with 6 tiller per plant and height of 89.8 Cm had the highest values among the other varieties.
