Title Study the water use efficiency on some quality & quality charactrestics of two sugar beet cultivar under sprinkler irrigation

In order to study and comperation of water use efficiency of two different sugar beet varieties (IC1 and 9597 ×7233) in different level of irrigation and effect of water stress on quantity and quality yields, this research carried out in 3 different region, Karaj, Hamadan and Kerman during of 2000-2001. In this exprimental research we were impose two different sugar beet varieties on four water amounts regime, that as follows ; from non stress (I1) to severe stress(I4) in 3 replacation with using line source sprinkler irrigation system. At the end of growth seasone, the factores of quantity and quality were measured and we statistical analisd.In different region we fitted for that two varieties, root yield _ irrigation water function , cross sugar yield _ irrigation water function ,water use efficiency based on root production (WUEr) _ irrigation water function, Water use efficiency based on cross sugar production (WUEs) _ irrigation water function .The result showed that: Karaj: It was not any significant different between two varieties for that point of water use efficiency based on root and sugar production.To have the max. of WUEr , 3.74 to 4 Kg root/m3, with 38 to 42 Ton /ha root yield, and max. of WUEs, 0.335 to 0.274 kg sugar/m3, with 3.39 to 3.41 Ton sugar/ha , amount 10000 to 12000 m3/ha irrigation water were recommended for sach condition of this trial. Hamadan: We had no any significant different between two varieties for that point of WUEr,but observed significant different between that two varieties for that point of WUEs.The IC1 variety with 9000 to 14000 m3/ha water applied will prodouced 0.46 to 0.37 kg sugar/m3 WUEs and 4.1 to 5.43 ton sugar/ha sugar yield.In comprisonof 9597 ×7233 variety , the max. of WUEs, 0.35 kg sugar/m3, We had obtained the range of 9000 to 11000 m3/ha irrigation water with 3.98 to 41.8 ton/ha sugar yield were provided. Kerman: We observed significant different between two varieties, for that point of water use efficiency based on root and sugar production.That 9597 ×7233 is superiority with IC1 variety. the IC1 variety for 50 ton/ha root yield production and 6.67 to 5.36 kg root /ha WUEr, amount 8000 to 10000 m3/ha irrigation were 0btimum range.To obtained the max. of root yield ,57 ton/ha, in 9597 ×7233 variety ,we need amount 8000 to 10000 m3/ha irrigation water, that result obtained 7.33 to 5.93 kg root/m3 WUEr.
