Comparative analysis of biochemical network reconstructions. إنجليزي. The aim of the thesis is to improve the efficiency of genome-scale biochemical network reconstruction comparison implementing flexible automated formal comparison method. In order to achieve the aim of the PhD thesis during its development process several tasks must be addressed: (1) to survey data formats and their structures that are used in the field of systems biology; (2) to analyze the state-of-the-art solutions of biochemical network reconstruction comparison; (3) to develop an algorithm for flexible automatic comparison of biochemical reconstructions; (4) to implement the algorithm for flexible automatic comparison of biochemical reconstructions into dedicated computer program; (5) to analyze and demonstrate the performance of the algorithm for comparison of different biochemical network reconstructions. The performance of the algorithm has been demonstrated using biochemical network reconstructions of four organisms (S.cerevisiae, Z.mobilis, C.acetobutylicum, and E.coli) pairs.

لاتفيا. Promocijas darba mērķis ir paaugstināt bioķīmisko tīklu rekonstrukciju salīdzināšanas efektivitāti izstrādājot formālu metodi bioķīmisko tīklu rekonstrukciju elastīgai automatizētai salīdzināšanai. Darba mērķa sasniegšanai ir izvirzīti vairāki uzdevumi: 1) izpētīt rekonstrukciju datu formātus un to struktūras; 2) izpētīt līdzšinējos bioķīmisko tīklu rekonstrukciju salīdzināšanas risinājumus; 3) izstrādāt algoritmu bioķīmisko tīklu rekonstrukciju salīdzināšanai; 4) realizēt rekonstrukciju salīdzināšanas algoritmu datorprogrammā; 5) sadarbībā ar biologiem analizēt izstrādātā algoritma darbību ar dažādu organismu rekonstrukcijām. Algoritma darbība ir demonstrēta ar četru mikroorganismu (S.cerevisiae, Z.mobilis, C.acetobutylicum, un E.coli). rekonstrukciju pāriem.
