The agronomic and qualitative traits of rice genotypes in Isfahan province were evaluated in a field study during 2009 growing season. The experimental design was randomized complete block with three replications. The cultivars were consisted of fourteen newly rice genotype s received from Iran Rice Research Institute and four local promising lines with two checks cultivars (Hashemi and Sazandegi). The results showed that, there were significant differences (p0.05) among genotypes for grain yield, plant height, number of tiller per hill, 1000 grain weight, days to flowering and Maturity. But there were no significant differences (p0.05) among genotypes for panicle length. Among all non local genotypes only genotype 14 (ShafaghNeamat-233) produced higher yield than Hashemi as check cultivar, but lower than other check (Sazandegi ). Also the results of quality tests showed that, most of the genotypes and checks grain cooking quality characteristics were good with intermediate amylase content, gelatinization temperature and gel consistency. Finally genotype 14 (ShafaghNeamat-233) selected for advanced experimental trials. Keyword: Promising genotypes, Yield Quality, Cultivars, Lenjan
