The Tobacco Industry MALAYSIA:an economic analysis

PricewaterhouseCoopers` Economic Studies and Strategies Unit has prepared this broad economic analysis of the tobacco industy in Malaysia. The analysis has sought to provide both a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the perfomance and contribution of the tobacco industry to the Malaysia economy. Data that has been used in this analysis has been obtained from a number of sources, including various official statistics, information provided by individual tobacco companies and the relevant industry associations and specialised national and international industry, economic and social data bases. The assistance of those who have provided information is gratefully acknowledged. The final resposibility for the analysis and the interpretation of the data, however, must remain with the authors.
