The aim of the study was to estimate fibre and ADF cioncentration in fodder of orchard grass (Dactylis glomerata) manually separated from the harvested forage of unfertilised permanent grasslands and to evaluate differences affected by different dates of the 1st cut (different growing stage by harvest). For this purpose there were used the forage samples obtained from the small-plot trial that was established in the locality Rapotin in 2005. The particular treatments were managed with different intensity of grassland exploitation the fibre and ADF concentration increased, whereas intensively utilised treatment significantly (P less than o.05) different from other treatments by its significantly lowest fibre concentration (254.3 g/kg DM). The highest mean value of fibre concentration (366.2 g/kg DM) showed the orchard grass fodder by the extensive exploitation which signifies the fodder value deterioration. Fiber and ADF concentration positively correlated with orchard´s mean height by its harvest. These findings have importance in nutrition of farm animals for the feeding rations compilation.
