Based on a programed pattern of germplasm introduction, healthy control virus plants consisting in new and commercial cultivars are procured from abroad all grafted on the selected adapt rootstocks to Iranian pedological conditions. In 2004, the pre-etimated number of the 1-Year-old healthy plants of 12 different scion-rootstock combinations, was acquisted based on the number of stations, main and sub-plots together with the relative replications. The plant material was introduced in Iran in 2007 by the nurseries of Italian fruit growing Institute, Rome. The multipreposal national adaptation trial was started at the end of the biennial quarantine procedure aiming rootstock comparisons, cultivar evaluation, scion-graft affinity and in parteculare the influence of virus contaminations on fruit set, pomology, yield and tree vegetative charateristiocs. Morphological assessments was effectuated at the field and virus detection by ELISA and PCR were made in the molecular laboratory of Plant pathology Institute. Growth traits as vigor, height, all 3 diameters of trunk, graft point and rootstock, root suckers, canopy size, precocity, leaf width and length, leaf width/length ratio, burknot, tolerance to clorosis were estimated. Three independent trial was achieved in Karaj. Other adaptation test in provinces of Isfahan, Khorasan razavi and Azerbayjan-gharbi. In the second phase the estimations will continue on yield component and tolerance to adversities. The results showed higher virus concentration in infected plants related to healthy trees, either pomological, morphological and growth characteristics demonstrated improved values in healthy plants both in Karaj and Isfahan regions, and all the diffence were significant at 1%.
