2014
Azizi, Farhad | Khavari khoeasani, S | Darkhal, H | Zand, B
21 new Iranian maize hybrids produced in Maize and Forage Crops research department of SPII with control hybrids KSC704 and KSC700 (as hybrids no. 22 and 23 respectively) were evaluated in a randomized complete block design to comparison of their fresh and dry forage yield in Karaj, Isfahan, Varamin and Mashad in 2012. Seeds of all hybrids cultivated in 2 lines with 6 meters length. The Distance between rows and seeds in row was 75 and 15.5 centimeters respectively (85000 plant per hectare). All agronomical operations were done based on usual methods in maize and forage research department of SPII. The traits such as anthesis, silking, ASI, plant height, ear height, number of leaves, stem diameter, fresh and dry weight of plant and ear separately in first doughy stage of kernels were measured. The results of combine analysis showed that hybrids no. 4 (K47/2-2-1-21-1-1×K19) and 12 (KLM78027/2-1-3-1-1-1×K19/1) had more dry and fresh forage yield. In addition hybrids no. 20, 8, 5, 9, 21, 23, 1 and 2 are recommended to evaluate in final experiments in the next years.
